Mission: Since 1995, Queerstock has been a vehicle for Out artists to be themselves and to showcase their talents in safe, independent and supportive environments. Queerstock has been touring the country and inviting audiences of all ages, sexualities, genders and beliefs to come and experience freedom of expression in every form. Not only has Queerstock brought together a community of Out musicians, but also strives to bridge the social, economic, political and generational gaps in the GLBTQ community by presenting diverse, provocative and affordable events.
In 2002, Queerstock will continue to bring the "communities within our community" together while raising funds and awareness for our youth—our future. Through music, theater and spoken word presentations, Queerstock anticipates sparking an unprecedented independent, cultural revolution while honoring the legacy of our activist pioneers and inspiring future generations of activists and artists alike to live the life they want to live--creating art and building communities without boundaries.
