We confirmed with Cathy this morning that indeed Cassidy (the lead singer) has thrown her voice completely. They are finishing up an album and they need to rest her voice as much as possible. Cool eh? 1.31.2002 - GUESS WHAT!! The LFS Compilation is now a DOUBLE CD!! Yep.. you heard right! We'll have more on it, including a track list, soon! 1.29.2002 - The Hissyfits (from LadyfestEast in NYC) are playing two shows: a CD Release Party in Athens at Tasty World on March 13 with Doria Roberts and Alix Olson and a fundraising show with Vera Takes The Cake and Harlow (yep.. that kick-ass chic band from VH1) in Austin on March 16! Details TBA... 1.8.2002 - Great news! Bitch & Animal and Alix Olson are scheduled to play the cd release parties on March 14 in Athens and on March 16 at Echo Lounge in Atlanta!! March fundraising madness has officially begun!! 1.7.2002 - The LFS Compilation CD search has gotten over 25 submissions!! The final line-up will be announced in a couple of weeks. 12.13.2002 - Atlanta-based Daemon Records (owned by Amy Ray of The Indigo Girls) has signed on to help us out financially with the Ladyfest South compilation CD!!
